Mini Bite Brownie Boxes

Well, hello, again!  As you know, I don't normally bake sweets, but my family loves them.  Lately, I have been in the kitchen more - trying out new recipes to give my kids and husband some healthier versions of the sweets out there.  I made some Mini Bite Brownies yesterday.  The kids enjoyed it very much and I thought I pack some for their school snacks today.

These boxes look like cake boxes!  The Brownies are made from black beans, pumpkin puree, and dark chocolate.  I got the recipe from here.

They look like this before putting them in the fridge and wrapping them.  Can you tell I am not too fancy in putting on the toppings? :)

The cute boxes make up for it, right?  To make the box, cut out a 4-1/2" x 7" piece of card stock.  Score 1-1/4" and 3-1/4" on the short side.  Score 1-1/4", 3-1/4", 4-1/2", and 6-1/2" on the long side.  Cut the sides and round the corners of the flap.  Punch a 1-1/4" circle on both the CS and DSP at the top.  For the insert, I use the left over piece and cut into 2" x 2-1/2".  Score 1/4" and 2-1/4" on the long side and punch a hole with 1-3/4" circle to hold the Brownie in place.  Adhere it all the way to the bottom of the box (1/4" high).

I am surprised that they are delicious and healthy!  Hope you will have a sweet day!

Fancy Favor Owl Backpacks

So I modified the colors of the owl backpacks that you saw from this post.

These owls are made for the WCEA team members who were visiting my kid's school for the school accreditation the last few days. I used the Fancy Favor and Top Note Dies, 2-3/8" Circle punch for the wings, 5-Petal Punch for the nose, and 1", 3/4", and 1/2" for the eyes.

I used the sentiment from Word Play stamp set and the Chalk Technique.  I stamped the sentiment with White Craft Ink, embossed it with White Embossing Powder, and added white lines around with White Pencil.  I also sponged the edges and some random parts inside the black card stock.

The back looks like a backpack, of course!  You'll need one 4-1/2" and two 5" ribbons total.

You can get everything in one sheet of paper if you use the same color as I did on the previous post.

I couldn't help making an extra one for Valentines Day using the sentiment from Delightful Dozen stamp set!  Happy Valentines Day!

Hello Kitty Nugget Holders

Happy Chinese/Vietnamese New Year!

These Hello Kitty Nugget Holders are made for the girls in Jake's class for Valentines Day.  Aren't they cute?

The hardest part is drawing the whiskers!  I used Itty Bitty Punch Pack (Heart and Circle for the bow), Cupcake Builder (eyes), 1/4" handheld (nose) punches.

Whenever Jake is in my craft room, he has other ideas of his own.  He added a "paintbrush" to the Kitty!  I thought it was a lollipop!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Owl Backpacks

Ok, two posts in one day as I can't wait to share this with you!  I saw some great (real) owl backpacks out there lately and they are cute!  After seeing a backpack made by Wendy Bell using the Fancy Favor and Top Note Dies, I decided to make some Owl Backpacks!

Which one do you like?  I decided to use the Chalkboard Technique to send the "Thank You" message.  The front pocket holds a Ghirardelli chocolate square.  There's plenty of room from the inside to put more treats in.  I use the lollipop stick as a chalk for the owl on the right, but I have a lot of trouble keeping it in place.  I'll have more of these to show you next week.

Have a nice day, owlways!

MDS - Angry Birds Poop

I saw an idea on Angry Birds Poop. I decide to create my own version.

The Angry Birds Poop labels are created on My Digital Studio (MDS), cropped and then mounted on folded pieces of Real Red card stock (3-5/8" x 4-1/4") stapled to the small cellophane bags (retired).  I use pencil erasers to stamp different colors to mimic the M&Ms.

I stamp the pig on the new Gumball Green card stock with Whisper White ink to look like birds poop on him. :) (No pigs are harmed in this process.)

Enjoy!

First Communion Favors

I made these Thank You favors for my son's First Holy Communion party.  Inside the box fits a pack of Wrigley's gum.

The angel on the cloud acts as a locking mechanism.  It swivels downward to open the flap.

Decorative Label, Cupcake Builder, and Corner Rounder punches are used.  The cross is from Crosses of Hope stamp set.  Sincere Salutations and Clearly for You stamp sets are on the Retiring Stamp list and available only until May 31st.  Click HERE to see the Retired Stamp list.  The Retired Accessories list can be found HERE and it's available while supplies last.

Here I am with my son, Ryan, on his special day.  Congratulations, Ryan!  We're so proud of you and love you!

Have a wonderful day!
