Kim's Christmas Gift Card Holder

So I was telling my family that my husband looked like Asian Richard Gere when he was trying out some suits and everyone seemed to know who I was talking about. During Christmas party, I was telling them that my Sister-In-Law told me, "So you married Richard Gere. I married Charles Bronson!" You can see the difference in generations as all the older folks were laughing while "the kids" in their late 20s/early 30s were like, "Huh?" Anyhow, Kim, my niece and God-daughter, made me this card for Christmas from her computer. I love her humors, creativity and uniqueness! This was one of the reasons why we laughed so much!!! Thanks, Kim!

I happened to make this gift card holder for her since she's the only one drinking Peet's Coffee. No replicates.

I found this idea from Catherine Pooler from her Christmas Gift Bag for the 12 Weeks of Christmas. I love it so much I recreate it using my Chocolate Matchbook from this post, adding just an extra 1/2" for the scallop edges. To close it, all I did was wrap the strings from the gloves around the brad. Kim loves it!

Winter Post Ice Skaters - Sneak Peeks

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! We did and this year we had so much fun laughing!!! I wish I had time to post these gift card holders before Christmas. This year I made so many hand made gifts that I feel I should simplify things just a little bit and that include the gift cards - no purses for girls this year.

I use the same measurements and scoring with different decoration in the front, according to the gift cards. This is the same cut and fold as the last post, except the pocket is in vertical position, die-cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelits. The front is using the new Framelits Dies. This one is for Cold Stone Ice Cream gift cards. I like the the Ice Skaters from the Winter Post - remind me of ice and since black would not be a good color for Christmas, I pick out the gray and red from the gift card to go with it.

Stamps: Winter Post

Paper: Riding Hood Red, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Letters to Santa DSP

Ink: Basic Black, Basic Gray

Accessories: Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelits and Framelits Dies, sponges, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Blossom, Blushing Bride, Marina Mist, and Pear Pizzaz markers

Card stock measures 2-3/4" x 11". Score at 3-3/4" and 7-1/2" on the long side. Belly bands measure 1" and either 8" (horizontal) or 6" (vertical). Angle the Edgelits a little bit for the pocket.

Have a great day!

Winter Post Deer

That stack of gift cards in the corner of the picture needs gift card holders! Every year, I buy gift cards for my single sister, nieces and nephews and made a few designs according to genders. It's a little something to let them know that I think about them during the Holidays. I've always wanted to make this kind of gift card holder which I got a few years ago from Starbucks. However, I couldn't figure out how to make it looks curvy and nice - until this year!

I am using the new Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies to make this little pocket! It will be in the Occasions Mini Catalog next year! I am excited about this one since I already got another project made with this for next year. The picture at the top left corner is the front of the gift card holder with the deer from Winter Post stamp set. These will hold Starbucks gift cards. Thus, you see the color of the coffee sleeve holder as a base color here. Hope you like it!

Here are my little Munchkins who willingly cooperated to take pictures this year. I made this Christmas card using My Digital Studio. It's a fast option if you can't crank out enough handmade cards. I did stamp the deer on the envelope and hoped it counted as handmade. :)

Have a very Merry Christmas!

Santa Cards

If you are in a hurry and need quick cards the last minute, here is one that has been inspired by Macy's mailings. Clean and Simple with a pop-up belt and embossing greeting and you're good to go.

If time permits, try creating this Santa Snow Globe card. It was pretty simple too with the Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set.

A little glitter, glimmer paper, and gold embossing and it becomes cute, cute, cute!

Jolliest Time of the Year (116584)

Ho!Ho!Ho! I wish I have that stamp for the first card! :)

Christmas Hand Sanitizer Holders

I made these hand sanitizer holders (thanks to Kimberly Van Diepen for the idea) using the Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set . These gifts (and a few other designs that I will show next year) are for the staffs at Hayward Healthcare where my dad chooses to stay. Because they are so cute, my dear husband grabs a few for other friends. Everyone loves it! The staffs at this Nursing Home are very kind and caring people with A LOT of patience. Thank you so much for all that you do! They have recently remodeled their facility as well so it looks much nicer!

Talking about sparkling, one day I walked out of my craft room and my husband gave me a funny smile. I asked him "What it is?" He said I looked very sparkly! I had glitters all over my face!

Anyhow, these pictures doesn't show enough shine (click on the picture to enlarge it) from the gold glitters, but they are certainly more sparkly than me for sure!!!

Have a great day!

Tic Tac Holders

Can you believe that this is only less than half of the gifts that I made this year? I am not sure how people can make enough for Craft Fairs, but for me it has always been more for gift giving! I already gave a lot away and there are still more not shown!

These are Tic Tac holders and it's made with the Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set. They are made with the intentions for husband's customers who work at Goorin Bros, the bold hat makers. They are the sweetest people ever! I took the kids to meet them last summer. They were all over the kids and pretty much spoiled them! Thank you so much for that experience!

So of course the Snowman has to have a very stylish hat!

These are meant as Snowman's Kisses from the kids! Here is my attempt with My Digital Studio of the kids in hats. :) I love that I can match the colors of the background with my pictures. I think I am better with the real Punch Arts! Hope it looks like a hat and it's not a Round Tab Punch (because it was not)!

Enjoy!

Gingerbread Family

I have always been inspired by Bakerella. Since I don't bake very often, I like to use the ideas for my Punch Arts. These Punch Arts are inspired by this post from Bakerella.

These are Palmer's Christmas characters Double Crisp chocolates. I created the box using my Simply Scored Board.

Have a great weekend!

Christmas Greeting with Chocolate

This will be the last stamp that I use from Tags til Christmas.

These are matchbooks that hold Ghirardelli chocolate inside. I saw this idea from Becky Roberts last year. It's nice that we have some DSP for men this year and the matchbook is just perfect for them... Well, I couldn't resist using up my retired DSP to pack some of the same chocolate for the women, in a different way. :) Thanks to Holly Krautkremer for this idea.

I hope you enjoy samples from this stamp set. It is such a great stamp set to have to make some quick tags and goodies.

Santa's Secret

I saw an idea for fun size chocolate candy bars on Stampin' Connection from Laura Zaraza. I started out with the above candy holder using the Tags 'til Christmas stamp set. I change the dimension and scoring of the box a little bit to fit the candy better. Then I started to be a little naughty (and still hope to get something nice this year). :) I made this instead.

So now you know why Santa is a chubby guy. He has chocolate hidden inside his closet! :) And yes, he can be in a hurry sometimes and leave his clothes hanging off the drawers.

Edit for Update: I was in a hurry and I got inquiries regarding this. Here you go...

Stamp Sets: Tags til Christmas, Woodgrain Background and Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Whisper White, Green Garden, and Early Espresso Cardstock, Frostwood Lodge DSP

Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso Classic ink

Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Square Duo Die, Large Tag and Decorative Label punches, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Paper Snip

For the Box: Cut 4-1/8" x 1-7/8". On the 4-1/8" side, score at 1-7/8" and 2-1/4". On the short side, score at 3/8" each side.

Drawers are measured at 2" x 3/4". Clothes are made from the Tag punch.

Have a great day!

Under The Christmas Tree

Today I am going to continue with the Tags 'til Christmas stamp set using the stamp "Do Not Open Until Christmas" for the package as a focus.

Aren't the presents under the tree cute? I started out with this simple version. Then I did another one - a little more work added.

Which one do you like? I like the decorated Christmas and the green card base.

Stamps: Tags 'til Christmas and Winter Post

Ink: Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler Classic ink

Paper: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Garden Green, and Crumb Cake CS, Silver and Red Glimmer paper, and Frostwood Lodge DSP

Accessories: Big Shot, Petal-a-Plenty Embossing Folders, 1-3/8" Square Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, and Blossom Bouquet Tripple Layer Punches, Sponge, Glitter, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine

Fancy Elf Candy Wrappers

Today, I am so excited to share with you my elves! These are based on the original elf that can be found in this post. While working on Santa, I noticed that his mustache, which is from the Bird Punch, looks like elf's pointy ears!!! Since the elves have been attempted to look like Santa in this post, they want to be as fancy as Santa!!!

Aren't they adorable? This reminds me of Holiday Lineups.

My husband never asked me to make anything before! This year, he has eyes on Santa Candy Wrapper. So he finally asks me if I can make "some stuff" for some of his favorite customers. Since they already received their gifts and banana bread, I'll be posting more gift ideas soon! Yes, I was mass-producing last weekend, too!

Ink: Garden Green, Real Red

Card stock: Real Red, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Garden Green,Silver and Red Glimmer paper

The Naughty's Nice Purse

I saw a version of the Lip Balm Holder at Kerry's Paper Crafts and modified my dimension to also have gift card inside. How nice is it to be (a little) naughty and still get something nice? ;) It'll need a Christmas Lip Balm. :)

Have a great day!

Tags 'til Christmas

My house has been smelling like banana! I want to share with you a funny story about scents. I got a co-worker who went into an incense shop one day. She was testing out the incense. She left the shop and all day long she smelled something so fresh and wonderful. She wished that everyday she could smell like this. Well, she finally looked in the mirror and she saw an incense mark across below her nose all day! She was just so cute to share this with me!

Today, I want to share with you some simple tags that I made with Tags 'til Christmas stamp set.

My Small Oval finally arrived yesterday! Here it is on a banana bread.

I hope the recipients will eat them before the 25th! :) I know I should wait until near Christmas to give these, but the bananas couldn't wait and I got a lot to catch up!

Today is also my friend Elise's Birthday. Happy Birthday, Elise! She is truly an artist. If you get a chance, please visit her blog to see what's she's up to! Her art has gone from galleries to stage!

She sent me a video she put together a few weeks ago. This is from the photos I took couple of years ago while visiting my In-Laws. It reminds me of how very blessed we are here in America. These people make about a couple of dollars a day! Kids as young as 7 were working to help out their family too!

Fancy Santa Candy Wrapper

What's Christmas without Santa? Well, I got a Santa candy wrapper for you! I've seen the idea of Santa's face with embossing beard as a cello bag topper all over Stampin' Connection. So, I thought I use it on a candy bar. This is another way to use the Ornament Punch that I promised to show you and this is my husband's favorite candy wrapper by far! Men, they always wonder why we dress up our candies!

He's quite fancy with all the glimmer paper, isn't it? For those of you who visit my blog, thank you! I got a bonus for you - a funny looking Santa! :) I was working on the Tag 'til Christmas stamp set and wanted to use the Santa's suit for a 3-D gift. At the end, I decided not to use it because it looks like a wanna-be-Santa elf! Anyhow, I want to share with you my process because it's still cute!

Stamp Sets: Tags 'til Christmas

Card stock: Real Red, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Silver and Red Glimmer paper

Accessories: Big Shot, Snow Burst and Elegant Lines Embossing Folders, Crimper, White Gel Pen, Large Oval, Extra-Large Oval, 1-1/4", 1", 1/2" circle, Ornament, Owl Builder, Bird Builder, Blossom Petals Builder, and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack Punches, Stampin' Pastel, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Edit for Update: This measurement is for wrapper with crimps at the bottom. Hope this helps.

Wrapper: 6" x 4-1/4" Real Red and score on the 4-1/4" side at 1" and 3". Center piece measures 4-3/4" x 3/4" (Whisper White)

Belt: 1/2" x 4-3/4" Glimmer paper. 3/4" and 1-1/4" Square punches

Buttons: 1/2" circles

Santa's face: Layer the large oval (Blushing Bride) over on the Extra-Large Oval. Trim the embossed Ornament punch to round the top and layer onto the face. Add Real Red circle for the lip (from the Owl Punch), White mustache (from the Bird Punch), and the Blushing Bride circle for the nose (from the Owl Punch). Add the black circles for the eyes. The hat is made from the Extra-Large Oval and embossed. Add glimmer paper circle on the left side (from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack).

Hope your day will be sweet!

Medallion Happy Holidays

It was a busy weekend for me! We had a family engagement on Saturday. Congratulations, Vincent and Claire! Also, every year we attend Children's Christmas Mass which is around the first Sunday of December and have Breakfast with Santa at our church. The boys are so cute, they actually didn't make too much fuss this year when I dress them up alike! :) Well, they did on Saturday when I dressed them up for the Engagement. Jake said he doesn't want to go to a "Fancy Party" because he doesn't want to dress up with vest and fancy shoes! Well, he got his point because when we were at Claire's house, they were diving in the grass and leaves, having too much fun to care for their fancy clothes!

I've also updated the post with Rudolph since many people have inquired about how I did the oval.

Today, I want to share with you the last card with Four the Holidays stamp set along with the beautiful Medallion Background stamp. It didn't make it to the Fun and Fast Christmas Card Class for a few reasons, but it sure is really beautiful! OK, so one of the reasons is the coloring of those small circles. It can get so uneven that it doesn't look as good!

Stamp Set: Medallion Background and Four the Holidays

Cardstock: Old Olive, Whisper White

Ink: Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Classic ink

Accessories: Pearl Basic Jewels, Cherry Cobbler marker, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Sponge

Four The Holidays(116921)

Hope you will have a beautiful day!
