Coach's Basketball Cards

My son, Ryan, has been in the CYO basketball since 2nd grade.  The Fourth Graders celebrated their end of the season basketball last Saturday.  It was really fun to see the kids so excited to receive their trophies and awards.  I put together some quick Basketball cards for the 3 coaches.

I started out doing the rolling basketball I CASE from SCS gallery by stamper Star, but my cards are 8-1/2" x 5-1/2".

Then I change it into a moving shot.

Finally, I create a Basketball stand by rolling the side of the pencil in the ink to achieve the pole.  Thank you, Coaches Miguel, Juan, and Pedro!

LNS Challenge 212: St. Patrick Card

I made this St. Patrick Card using this tutorial here.  I am also entering it in the Late Night Stampers Challenge 212:  Green.

It's actually a birthday card for our Pastor.  He has a very good sense of humor and we love him very much for all that he does for our church, community and school!  We tease him that he should go over to Rome to see what he can do since the Pope is resigning.  He said that Rome wouldn't agree with him.  Well, perhaps he can be our next Bishop here then. :)

This is my work in progress.  Although our Pastor doesn't have beard and mustache, this young Bishop looks too young on the card.  So now he looks like St. Patrick because he is Irish!  Happy Birthday, Father Seamus!

Have a wonderful day!

Monster High Birthday Card

This is one of the cards that I made for a birthday that I never get around to posting.  Monster High seems to be so popular with little girls now.  This card was for Lana.
I hope you enjoy this Punch Art and have a wonderful day!

Dinoroar Birthday Card

I love Michelle Zindorf's brayer work!  Last weekend was also my grand-nephew's Birthday and it was all about dinosaurs.  I decided to follow one of Michelle's tutorials found here.  I don't really use brayer technique that much and obviously still need to work at it, but I DID IT!

I hope Noah is enjoying this card and the tag!  Happy Birthday, Noah!

Noah's Mom, Vy Passetti, makes the BEST Dinosaur Cake Pops ever!  I didn't bring my camera so here is what I bought home as favors.

My kids get a great exercise from breaking open the Plaster of Paris Dinosaur (they are pretty tough to open) to find a dinosaur toy inside!!

Have a great day!

Ninjago Birthday Card

Today is Daniel's Birthday and he is seven.  Happy Birthday, Daniel!  He is my friend's son and loves Ninjago so I create this card for him.

I use the Top Note Die, Decorative Label, 1/2" Circle Punch, and Cupcake Builder Punch for the Punch/Die-Cut Art.  I also use an oval plate, trace it, and cut the top part of the mask.

Hope you will have a great weekend!

Happy You Thank You

I love the little mushrooms in the "Happy You" Hostess stamp set.

This size card is perfect for me to tug in a customer's order.  They are quick and simple to make and yet still meaningful.  I used Soft Suede Ink to stamp the image and color the image with Crumb Cake, Real Red, and Soft Suede markers.  I use the Aqua Painter to create the ground with Old Olive Ink.

You can get 3 cards out of a sheet - 3-5/8" x 8", fold in half.   Have a wonderful weekend!

Bride and Groom Wedding Card

I made this wedding card for my niece and her husband.

I found the template on Lynn Pratt's website and pretty much CASE it!  I change a few things to match with the wedding color and theme.  Ignore the buttons as I decided to add it on the jacket instead.  No adhesive residue left behind thanks to the Adhesive Remover!

I also embossed the envelope flap to match the dress.

Embossed Wedding Card

My talented sister, Michelle, can knock down anything in the house and rebuild/remodel it, but she has no patience for making cards!  She asks me to make her a card for my niece's wedding.  So here is what I made for her.  It is similar to another card  I saw on Stampin' Connection or somewhere on the Internet awhile ago.

I used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Teeny Tiny Wishes, and lots of pearls!  I also embossed the envelope flap with the same EF.  She loves it!

College Graduation Cards

I made these two cards fast - completely CASE them from Dawn Olchefske here.  Thanks, Dawn!  I used the Perfect Pennant Die, Stripe Embossing Folder, a couple of square punches, the new Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and Bitty Banners Framelits Dies from Stampin' Up!.

We went down to Southern California last week to celebrate our 2 nephews' graduations.  Congratulations, Patrick and Minh!  While we were there, we decided to visit Mickey Mouse.  It was late when we finally found Mickey.  Here is Jake with Woody from The Toys Story.

This is the first time my kids went to Disneyland and they were really excited!  The new Cars Land at California Adventures were absolutely amazing.  They recreate the whole scene from the CARS movie like real!  The down falls?  Extremely long lines to get to the ride!  It was worth it though.  Lightning McQueen was absolutely shiny and charming! :)

Have a wonderful day!

MDS - Angry Birds Party Invitations

My 2 sons' birthday party is coming up! I can finally post these pictures as all the invitations are sent out.  I make these hybrid cards using My Digital Studio (MDS). I love to create punch art, but it a little bit more time consuming to create the initial punch art in a digital world. However, once it's done, it's so wonderful to print as many copies as you like.  So I decide to do a hybrid digital punch art!

I am not sure if anyone has done this before, but I just thought of hybrid digital punch art!  I click on the circle punch in MDS and adjust to the size that I want.  I use paper fill to select one of the DSPs (anything- it doesn't matter).  Double click on image with the DSP and then click "replace image".  I select one of the wall papers that I downloaded from the internet.  Center it and got myself a red Angry Birds face instantly!  To make it Stampin' Up! style, I select the 5-Petal Punch to create its top feather.  The font is a free download and it's called Feast of Flesh.  I add a little bit of wrapped Baker's Twine around the slingshot image to create a little texture and to mimic my real piece of punch art from this post

Since we are celebrating their birthday party at mini golf course, I added a little slogan in the back of the invitations like this.

Let's Save the eggs!

Please join us in celebrating
Ryan's 8 th & Jake’s 5th Birthday!

There are no slingshots,
Just some fun swing shots!

I will show you the rest of the party favors after the party.  Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Residency Graduation

Since Fox and Friends stamp set is on the retiring list, I was looking through my photos and found this card.  This card was made for my niece who finished her residency last year.  I got the idea from Lynn Pratt (Thanks, Lynn!) and just hand-drawn the scrub.  They have a slogan as "Who will deliver your baby?" at the hospital where she did her residency.  Since she was born in the Year of the Monkey, I thought I stamped all the characters from Fox and Friends on the envelope to tease her.

Have a great day!

Monkeying Around

This quick and simple card is made with Fox and Friends stamp set (retiring at the end of the month).  It's perfect for kids who are monkeying around and need an apology. :)

Have a good day!

First Communion Thank You Cards

I hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! We did! We had dinner at Backyard Boiler in Union City.  It was messy, but really fun!

These are thank you cards for Ryan's First Holy Communion using the Crosses of Hope stamp set and Adorning Accents Edgelits and Framelits Dies.

The cross was stamped first.  Then I sponge the inside of the Framelit negative with Bashful Blue, stamp a mosaic background in Versamark ink and heat emboss it.  Doesn't this give the feel of  stained glass?  The mosaic is made from leftover rubbers.

Until next time, have a wonderful day!

Wonderful Mother

I found some extra tie-dye coffee filter paper flowers that I made for Allie's party awhile ago.  So instead of wasting them, I created the same card with the new Delightful Dozens stamp set.

Have a wonderful day!

Trendy Trees

We had such a wonderful week last week! We went to Monterey and stopped by the Outlet which is close to the Aquarium. Look at this candy store! The kids were in candy heaven! Too much sugar, Babies!

The retired stamp list is up.  These stamp sets are available only until May 31st, 2012.  So make sure you order your favorite stamp sets before they are gone!  Please click on the photo below for a complete list in PDF.

These are 3" x 3" love notes  using the Trendy Trees stamp set, which is on the retired list.  They are really fast, fun and easy to make!  I also make a pizza box to hold them.

Have a fantastic day!

Just Believe With Sympathy

My stash of Sympathy cards using Just Believe and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.  I've been putting off posting these cards.  Unfortunately, we all need this sometimes in our life to comfort those we love.

This stamp set is so versatile - going from a "Thank You" gift as seen on my last post to "Sympathy" cards here.

Have a great day!

Thank You with All My Heart

As I was creating this card with Everyday Enchantment DSP, I thought I pulled out an old stamp set to use with this paper.  It matches perfectly!  I use With All My Heart stamp set and the Fancy Flower punch and make very slight changes to my previous card.

Enjoy!

Wedding Cake Card

We had such a wonderful time celebrating Vincent and Claire's Wedding yesterday!  They are such a beautiful couple.  Vincent is my husband's nephew.  Welcome to the family, Claire!  Congratulations, to the newly wed!

I made this wedding cake card for them using the Adorning Accent Embossing Folders along with many pearls!  They ended up with one layer cake and lots of very yummy cupcakes for their wedding!  The kids loved the cupcakes!!!  And so did I!

Here are a couple of pictures of my boys.  Since it was an all day event yesterday, the kids finally sleep in today!!!

With All My {Heart}

I love Everyday Enchantment DSP!  The paper is so pretty and it's so perfect for many themes.   I was inspired by the idea for this heart candy box using the Heart and the 1-3/8" Square punches here.  I decide to make these little note cards with a treat in between the heart for my son's Staff/Teacher's Appreciation Day and people who have been supporting him for his fundraising events.

It's great for Valentines and many other occasions.   I add Dotto, temporary adhesive, in the back of the box so it's removeable.
Since I mass produce these 3-D notes and make the box fits better between the hearts, I change the measurement a little bit.  If you are interested in an example of how to plan and cut for mass production for this project, send me an email or leave me a comment.  If there's enough interests, I'll put a quick tutorial for you.

Edit for update:  Thank you for all your requests for tutorial!  I've sent the tutorial out to those who have left an email address or have emailed me.  If you like a complimentary copy of this tutorial, please leave me a comment with your email address or contact me.
