Post It Note Holders
These Post It Note holders were in a box that I showed you late last year from this post.
I started out by CASEing the butterfly PIN holder from Angie Juda. This is from the Flight of Butterfly stamp set which will be retired after tomorrow.
I exchange the butterfly for the bird using the Bird Builder Punch.
For the last one, I stamp the leaf from a Hostess stamp set called Faith in Nature which will also be retired after tomorrow. I use the Baby Wipe technique along with heat embossing for the leaf. Make sure you grab these before they are gone!
Have a great day!

MDS - Angry Birds Party Invitations
My 2 sons' birthday party is coming up! I can finally post these pictures as all the invitations are sent out. I make these hybrid cards using My Digital Studio (MDS). I love to create punch art, but it a little bit more time consuming to create the initial punch art in a digital world. However, once it's done, it's so wonderful to print as many copies as you like. So I decide to do a hybrid digital punch art!
I am not sure if anyone has done this before, but I just thought of hybrid digital punch art! I click on the circle punch in MDS and adjust to the size that I want. I use paper fill to select one of the DSPs (anything- it doesn't matter). Double click on image with the DSP and then click "replace image". I select one of the wall papers that I downloaded from the internet. Center it and got myself a red Angry Birds face instantly! To make it Stampin' Up! style, I select the 5-Petal Punch to create its top feather. The font is a free download and it's called Feast of Flesh. I add a little bit of wrapped Baker's Twine around the slingshot image to create a little texture and to mimic my real piece of punch art from this post.
Since we are celebrating their birthday party at mini golf course, I added a little slogan in the back of the invitations like this.
I will show you the rest of the party favors after the party. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Residency Graduation
Since Fox and Friends stamp set is on the retiring list, I was looking through my photos and found this card. This card was made for my niece who finished her residency last year. I got the idea from Lynn Pratt (Thanks, Lynn!) and just hand-drawn the scrub. They have a slogan as "Who will deliver your baby?" at the hospital where she did her residency. Since she was born in the Year of the Monkey, I thought I stamped all the characters from Fox and Friends on the envelope to tease her.
Have a great day!

Monkeying Around
This quick and simple card is made with Fox and Friends stamp set (retiring at the end of the month). It's perfect for kids who are monkeying around and need an apology. :)
Have a good day!

First Communion Thank You Cards
I hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! We did! We had dinner at Backyard Boiler in Union City. It was messy, but really fun!
These are thank you cards for Ryan's First Holy Communion using the Crosses of Hope stamp set and Adorning Accents Edgelits and Framelits Dies.
The cross was stamped first. Then I sponge the inside of the Framelit negative with Bashful Blue, stamp a mosaic background in Versamark ink and heat emboss it. Doesn't this give the feel of stained glass? The mosaic is made from leftover rubbers.
Until next time, have a wonderful day!

Toys Story - Jessie's Hats
Back in March, we took the kids to see Disney on Ice - Toys Story 3. After I made the Cinco de Mayo hats from the last post, it hits me that it's perfect to make Toys Story character hats.
These are Jessie's hats - perfect as favors for kid's party!
Make sure the hat is curled first before you draw the stitches with the White Gel pen - it smears! Woody's hat can be made the same way with brown color.
Have fun!

Cinco de Mayo Hats
What do you think? Would these pass as Mexican hats? They are so simple to make with a Rolo (from my kid's candy box) in the middle of a circle - embossed and curl up! The little one looks more like a cowboy's hat, right?
Feliz Cinco de Mayo to all my Mexican friends!

Finally, many of you have asked for directions on how I made my First Communion favors from this post. Here is a template that I create for myself. Don't mind the funky color paper as I use whatever I don't need any more to create prototypes and templates and save the high quality card stock for the real thing. :)
Cut card stock to 3-1/2" x 8-1/2".
Score 1/2" and 3" on the short side.
Score 3-1/8", 3-5/8", 6-3/4" and 7-1/4" on the long side.
Cut off the sides from the 8-1/2" end - up to the second scoreline.
Cut and punch out the rest of the box as shown on the template.
The ribbon is 6" long.
You can get 3 boxes out of a sheet of card stock for this. To mass produce, I cut off only 1/2" from the 11" side of the card stock, score my long sides and then cut up 3-1/2" for each box. It saves times. This is when the Simply Scoring Tool comes in very handy! Have I told you how much I really love using it? I LOVE IT!
Have a great day! Of course, have fun, too!

First Communion Favors
I made these Thank You favors for my son's First Holy Communion party. Inside the box fits a pack of Wrigley's gum.
The angel on the cloud acts as a locking mechanism. It swivels downward to open the flap.
Decorative Label, Cupcake Builder, and Corner Rounder punches are used. The cross is from Crosses of Hope stamp set. Sincere Salutations and Clearly for You stamp sets are on the Retiring Stamp list and available only until May 31st. Click HERE to see the Retired Stamp list. The Retired Accessories list can be found HERE and it's available while supplies last.
Here I am with my son, Ryan, on his special day. Congratulations, Ryan! We're so proud of you and love you!
Have a wonderful day!
