Just Believe With Sympathy

My stash of Sympathy cards using Just Believe and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.  I've been putting off posting these cards.  Unfortunately, we all need this sometimes in our life to comfort those we love.

This stamp set is so versatile - going from a "Thank You" gift as seen on my last post to "Sympathy" cards here.

Have a great day!

Thank You Gum Holders

Remember the basket of goodies I made back in one of  my December posts?  Since we're on the peachy orange color theme, I thought I show you the Eclipse gum holders.  It was inspired by Holly E. from Stampin' Connection, an exclusive SU! Demonstator's website.  Have you considered becoming a demonstrator, wanted a discount on SU! products or wanted a peek of what's on Stampin' Connection?  From now until the end of March is a great time to test drive being a Demo.  The Starter Kit is on sale right now for only $125.  It values at $345.  There's no obligation to buy anything further until June 30, 2012.  You can contact me or click here for more info.

I used Just Believe stamp set , Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die for this gum holder.  They were so thrilled to receive all the gifts!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Thank You with All My Heart

As I was creating this card with Everyday Enchantment DSP, I thought I pulled out an old stamp set to use with this paper.  It matches perfectly!  I use With All My Heart stamp set and the Fancy Flower punch and make very slight changes to my previous card.

Enjoy!

Frog Critters

Happy First Day of Spring, everyone!  I made these cute Frog Critters for my son's class - the Bullfrogs.  It's so cute when they sing their song.

We are the Bullfrogs!
Mighty, mighty Bullfrogs.
Everywhere we go...
People want to know.
Who we are...
So we tell them.
We are the BULLFROGS!

I created the Frog Critter 3 years ago as seen on Becky's blog and now some of the punches have been retired.  I recreate these using the current products.  So I was wondering what do we call a group of frogs?  I look it up on www.allaboutfrogs.org website and this is the answer.

A group of fish is called a School of Fish.
A group of geese is called a Gaggle of Geese.
A group of sea gulls is called a Flock of Sea gulls.
A bunch of cows and bulls is called a Herd of Cattle.
But what do you call a group of frogs?
Answer: An ARMY of Frogs!

And what do you call a group of toads?
Answer: A KNOT of Toads!

By Golly, we can always learn something new!  I didn't ask for Toads and now I know. Have a ter"ribbit" day!

Edit to update:  I got a lot of requests for a tutorial for the frog critter.  So I am making this available for $1.99.

The Bishop St. Patrick

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!  I hope you have been pinched-proof!

Here is my punch art of St. Patrick himself.  We sometimes forget what the day is all about  I learned a lot from creating this tutorial (as seen on this post) who St. Patrick is.  I hope that my children will understand it's not all about green and being pinched!  There was a patron saint (of Ireland) to be honored and remembered on this day.

The wearing of green is a symbol of St. Patrick's Day and Ireland, the Emerald Isle, in general.  However, the day is celebrated in America more than Ireland and that St. Patrick's original color was blue!  Hope you will have a fun and wonderful weekend!

Cheers!

The Leprechaun

Thank you everyone who has purchased my tutorials and for all those kind and cute comments/emails you have sent my way!  I appreciate them very much!  If you still have trouble with your downloads or have not received your tutorials, please check your spam folder or contact me.

Today, I want to show the Leprechaun from my tutorial (as seen on this post) by himself so you can see the details more.  Changing his shoe color to green might bring them out more.  Try it!

Just a little story as I didn't know what all the business of being pinched on St. Patrick's Day meant.  My 4-year-old son, Jake, came home a few weeks ago and talked about the Leprechaun.  He was actually scared of it!  He talked about it pinching him on St. Patrick's Day.  I looked up and it said that if you wear green, the Leprechauns don't see you so you don't get pinched.  If there's no green, you'll get pinched for that reason!   I'll make sure Jake wears something green this Saturday so he's not scared of being pinched!

Have a great day!

I still love the Everyday Enchantment DSP and will miss it when Sale-A-Bration is over!  Today, I combine this beautiful DSP with Fresh Vintage and Loving Thoughts stamp sets.  Check out my Celebration Time post for more details on how to get this paper and my Cute Critters tutorial for free.  It's great with my Flower Gift Box, don't you think?

Have a great day!

Flower Gift

Good Morning! Today I want to share with you little gift package of flowers that I made. This can be used for gift packaging at the end.

I like the ability to have multiple uses for a gift. I was inspired by Connie Stewart to use a shim with the Simply Scoring Tool to make the box with the same size paper and the idea of using magazines to create flowers using our punches. My son's teacher told me that she loves to make cards but only uses magazines to cut out the images for her cards. I made this gift with her and another customer in mind.

Half of the flowers are from magazine ads while the other half are using SU! Designer Series Paper. While adding the finished touch to the package, I discover that when I adhere the small sides of the Blossom Punch together, it becomes this small flower cup for the center of the flower! I haven't seen anyone doing this and it's so cute!

So here is my multiple uses of the gift idea. The band for the package becomes a bookmark!

Have a great day!

Sweet Treat Ladybug

My boys have been enjoying their time with the ladybugs they caught during the weekend. Every year we allow them to catch something in the garden to do some experiment - to observe their behaviors and changes. Two years ago we caught a few caterpillars and a couple of them changed to moths instead of butterflies! They defecated so much. Cleaning up and feeding them was a lot of work. Last year, it was a lizard. Since the boys couldn't catch bugs so my husband had to do that for it to eat. He didn't mind it at all!

This year it's the ladybugs. Ryan has been telling me the ladybugs have been wrestling a lot - it must be mating season since we see some very small ones as well. Ryan has to look up to see what they like to eat. We have been looking for plants that have aphids or mealy bugs. When we let one out to eat, it flew away! So we have been feeding leaves and a few bugs here and there. Jake really enjoys looking at them! We'll let them go soon.

So here is my Sweet Treat Ladybug that I created. How about a raindrop on the dot? It's the same concept as the lamb. The head pulls off and it opens up the trap door for the treats to come out.

I hope you and your kids get a chance to enjoy the little things in life with Nature like my boys have. :)

Sweet Treat Lamb

We've been having crazy weather around here. Last week, it was freezing cold. Then during the weekend, it was beautiful and sunny. Then it rained. And today, it's really windy. Some people told me it's earthquake weather. We live in California so it could happen and it happened on the Hayward Fault on Monday. Thank God, we were not affected by it though! It's still sunny today with all the wind and it reminds me that Spring is coming.

We saw Disney On Ice Toy Story with the kids on Saturday and then the rest of the time out in the garden during the weekends. We were weeding and trimming trees while the kids enjoyed catching ladybugs. Look at our lemon tree! We ended up with 33 bags of more than 20 each donated to the church to sell. There's still a lot more!

OK, so on with Spring approaching. I was inspired by Heather Summers' Sweet Treat Frog found here. So I created this Sweet Treat Lamb. The kids keep coming around to pick out an M&M or two, here and there, as it has an open trap in the back. I know, eventually, the treats will be gone! :)

Hope your day will always be sunny!
